Often used in diffusers or inhaler blends to relieve stress and increase focus, and is reported to bring relief to migraines. It’s also used in diffusers or inhalers for colds and sinus infections. It is anti-bacterial, antiviral and an antiseptic, and can be used to relieve bug bites. Used in massage oil blends it can relieve muscle tension, menstrual cramps and has a cooling effect on the skin. It can be used in a compress for pain in non-sensitive areas.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS: Use of Sweet Basil is contraindicated for those with skin hypersensitivity. A test patch is suggested. It is not recommended for pregnant or nursing women, people with epilepsy or children under the age of 16.
